Overview

As a Commercial Manager at Linesight, you will work with highly experienced, culturally diverse, and passionate teams nurturing a strong social dynamic and a shared sense of achievement. You will take ownership of contract and cost management for a high-profile semiconductor project in Taiwan, ensuring commercial success from pre-contract through to final account. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of advanced manufacturing, contributing to complex, fast-paced delivery in a critical global industry.

The Opportunity

In this role you will: 

  • Lead full lifecycle cost management services from feasibility through to final account agreement

  • Develop and manage project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts

  • Provide accurate and timely commercial reporting to clients and stakeholders

  • Monitor project costs to identify risks, variances, and opportunities

     

  • Administer contracts in line with project requirements and local Taiwanese regulations

  • Lead procurement strategy, tendering, bid evaluation, and contract award processes

  • Manage change control, variations, and claims, ensuring robust documentation and negotiation

  • Support dispute avoidance and resolution through proactive contract management

     

  • Partner with project and client teams to drive commercial performance and value

  • Ensure alignment with project timelines, delivery strategies, and quality expectations

  • Support decision-making with data-driven commercial insights

     

  • Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and consultants

  • Provide commercial leadership across multidisciplinary teams

  • Ensure clear communication of risks, opportunities, and commercial outcomes

     

  • Ensure adherence to Linesight procedures and professional standards

  • Maintain high levels of transparency, accuracy, and accountability

  • Support audit processes and ensure robust commercial controls are in place

We would love to hear from you if you: 

  • Have significant experience in commercial or cost management, ideally within semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or large-scale construction projects
  • Possess strong knowledge of contract administration, including standard forms (FIDIC, NEC, or equivalent)
  • Have experience working on complex, high-value projects in an international environment
  • Demonstrate expertise in cost planning, procurement, and commercial reporting
  • Are confident managing variations, claims, and contract negotiations
  • Have strong stakeholder management and communication skills (fluency in English and Mandarin required)
  • Are comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth project environment
  • Have a degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
