The Opportunity

In this role you will:

 

  • Report to the Senior Project Manager and act as the Employer’s Representative. You will be responsible for delivery of the project and will be supported by a site-based team
    during the construction, fit-out, commissioning, and handover phases. 
  • Act as the technical supervisor and lead point of contact for early infrastructure works, including coordination and supervision of construction of on-site roads, loading/offloading areas, laydown areas, logistics and welfare areas, as well as off-site road infrastructure, transport interfaces, municipal works, and authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) coordination.
  • Ensure the Project meets the Project KPIs and applicable Data Center Development (DCD) guidelines and standards (as updated from time to time based on best
    practices and lessons learned from previous projects).
  • Ensure statutory obligations are met, including (but not limited to) compliance with applicable laws, statutes, regulations, and building codes.
  • Provide guidance and corrective action when necessary, and respond to questions regarding delivery options.
  • Manage all civil works project-related activities, including coordinating FTE resources, vendors and contractors.

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Have a Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management or an equivalent engineering science degree.
  • Have 7+ years of recent experience in construction management of large, complex projects involving large-scale civil works, including ground improvement, deep foundations, rock blasting, and utility services.
  • Understand HV/MV power transmission systems, CSA & MEP systems engineering principles and local & statutory requirements.
  • Are a general contractor and have vendor management experience (request for proposals, bidding, change orders) associated with construction and project execution.
  • Demonstrate experience of international projects and have a sound understanding of cultural,
    diversity and inclusivity aspects in a large-scale program delivery context.
  • Have a civil construction background.
  • Have industrial / DC construction experience > 5 years (preferred).
  • Have a good understanding of design management.
  • Have project management / stakeholder management skills.
  • Have experience in international project.
