Overview

As a Projects Control Lead at Linesight, you will work with highly experienced, culturally diverse, and passionate teams nurturing a strong social dynamic and a shared sense of achievement. You will gain vast industry experience that will open doors for you, extend your skillset and expand your perspective. We will empower, support, and enable you to take real responsibility in your role so that you can take charge of your career progression with us. For us lasting trusted relationships are everything, both with our teams and our clients.

The Opportunity

In this role you will:

  • Lead the implementation of project controls across the full lifecycle, ensuring all client and corporate requirements are consistently met.
  • Provide clear, proactive communication to keep the key stakeholders fully informed of project trends, risks, and performance.
  • Establish and maintain project controls procedures, service level agreements, responsibility matrices, and governance documentation to ensure clarity and alignment across internal teams and third‑party partners.
  • Oversee and execute core project controls activities—including cost control (VOWD, cost reporting, change review, cashflow), schedule management, risk management, change control, and periodic reporting.
  • Lead and/or participate in interactive planning and risk identification sessions, ensuring outputs are translated into practical tools, visual management dashboards, and updated project plans.
  • Review and validate key project control deliverables to ensure data accuracy, meaningful insights, and effective decision support.
  • Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Finance, Procurement, Estimating) to ensure transparent performance reporting, robust funding documentation, contract alignment, and seamless pre‑contract support.
  • Manage resource planning activities and ensure timely onboarding of third‑party project controls providers into relevant systems and tools.
  • Assess engineer and contractor proposals, change notices, schedules, and performance to ensure best value and alignment with project objectives.
  • Prepare owner estimates, lead estimate review meetings, and support contract and purchase order reconciliation.
  • Champion continuous improvement by contributing to lessons learned and quality assurance efforts throughout the project journey.
  • Be a visible leader onsite, monitoring contractor progress and driving accountability for schedule, cost, risk, and performance outcomes.

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Hold a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, with hands‑on experience in project controls, planning, and/or construction management.
  • Bring strong knowledge across cost control, scheduling, estimating, change management, and quantitative risk analysis.
  • Have experience in complex capital projects, ideally within bio-pharmaceuticals or life sciences.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate, influence, and work effectively with senior stakeholders and diverse project teams.
  • Are comfortable managing vendors and service providers and working across both project sites and contractor offices when required.
  • Hold or are pursuing industry-recognised qualifications (e.g., RICS, PMI, APM, AACE).
  • Are familiar with project controls systems and can articulate the benefits of digital tools and processes.
  • Thrive in dynamic environments where you can manage priorities independently while building strong, positive, and purpose‑driven relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Bring a strategic, analytical mindset—and a genuine passion for delivering high‑quality, timely project insights.

All interviews will be conducted in person or with video required.
