Overview

The Energy Delivery Manager is responsible for leading the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of high-voltage (HV) utility infrastructure to support hyperscale data centres. This includes managing end-to-end delivery of HV transmission/distribution connections, substations, and cabling projects, while ensuring world-class safety, quality, and cost control.

 

The role requires close collaboration with internal teams, utility providers, contractors, and vendors to secure reliable power connections in line with business objectives.

 

Data Centre expereince is not a pre-requsite:

 

We are looking for people to be based in the UK, Spain or Germany

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead planning, coordination, and execution of HV energy infrastructure projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and compliant delivery.
  • Act as primary liaison with utilities (TSOs/DNOs/IDNOs/ICPs), contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee vendor procurement, contract management, and performance.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, risks, and reporting to senior leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and sustainability standards.
  • Support commissioning and integration of energy systems into data centre operations.

 

About You:

 

  • Degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or similar; PMP/CCM certification desirable.
  • Proven years’ experience delivering large-scale energy infrastructure projects,
  • Strong knowledge of HV utility systems (transformers, switchgear, cabling, substations).
  • Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving safety and compliance on complex projects.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to sites and vendor facilities.
