Overview

As a Logistics Manager, you will work closely with the Construction Manager and specialist works contractors to oversee and coordinate all logistics and planning activities across the project. You will be responsible for developing and executing the logistics strategy for a large-scale data center project, ensuring efficient movement of materials, equipment, and personnel while maintaining safety, compliance, and productivity.  

 

You will operate within a Project Management Consultant (PMC) structure, representing the client side, and will be involved throughout the project lifecycle—from design through to full commissioning and operational handover.

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Logistics Planning: Create and manage a Construction Logistics Plan aligned with project schedule and phasing.
  • Site Setup: Oversee temporary works (roads, laydown areas, utilities) and ensure compliance with engineering and HSE standards.
  • Traffic & Access: Manage vehicle movement, delivery scheduling, and permits; implement traffic control systems.
  • Material Handling: Coordinate delivery, storage, and inventory to align with procurement and construction timelines.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to HSE standards; conduct audits and promote sustainability practices.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Act as primary logistics contact; lead coordination meetings and resolve site issues.
  • Technology & Reporting: Use BIM/logistics software for planning and monitoring; maintain accurate records and report KPIs.

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in logistics management for large-scale construction projects (data center experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, temporary works, and site operations.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with permits, regulations, and safety standards.
