Overview

As a Senior Project Manager at Linesight, you will work with highly experienced, culturally diverse, and passionate teams nurturing a strong social dynamic and a shared sense of achievement. You will gain vast industry experience that will open doors for you, extend your skillset and expand your perspective. We will empower, support, and enable you to take real responsibility in your role so that you can take charge of your career progression with us. You will be mentored and supported by industry leaders and given the tools to grow. You will also be involved in and contribute to our business strategy as we continue to evolve. For us lasting trusted relationships are everything, both with our teams and our clients.

The Opportunity

In this role you will:

  • Lead utility infrastructure design: You will be responsible for the design stage of all mandatory utility projects, including power grids, water intake and discharge, and other essential services. Your main focus will be on securing and managing the necessary infrastructure before any construction on the data center itself can begin.
  • Formulate procurement strategy: You will play a vital role in the procurement phase by assisting the construction team in selecting the best strategy for each project. This will involve analyzing technical, planning, and cost challenges to determine the most effective approach for procuring materials and services, ultimately minimizing risk and maximizing value.
  • Coordinate technical due diligence: You will orchestrate the technical and commercial due diligence processes, liaising with internal and external partners in architecture, planning, engineering, and legal. This includes auditing vendor work products and standardizing deliverables to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Manage interface with design teams: You will serve as the primary point of contact, managing the interface between the utility infrastructure designers, the data center design teams, and other stakeholders. This requires a deep understanding of client specifications and the ability to ensure all project components are seamlessly integrated.
  • Negotiate and liaise with external partners: A significant part of your role will involve relationship management and negotiation with key external parties. You will draft contracts with consulting firms and public utility providers and work closely with utility companies and our Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to define and negotiate technical requirements.
  • Administer and report on project progress: You'll handle all project administration, including the development of project trackers, risk registers, and planning charts.

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Have ten plus years experience in project managing engineering projects, with experience on major utility infrastructure projects or mission-critical projects, particularly within a design consultancy or pre-construction phase.
  • Thrive in a collaborative environment, demonstrating excellent communication skills to foster teamwork and solve problems effectively by interacting with diverse groups.
  • Are a qualified engineer, with a preference for chartered engineers with an electrical or mechanical background.
  • Have a project management professional certification or are seeking one.
  • Are a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with a proven ability to manage complex interfaces between multiple design teams.
  • Excel at verbal and written communication.
  • Are based in or willing to relocate to Paris, France.
  • Are proficient in English, and at least one other European language.

All interviews are conducted either in person or virtually with video required.
