At Linesight, you’ll work with experienced, diverse, and supportive teams on ambitious projects that challenge and develop your technical skills. As a Project Engineer with experience in large and complex Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) systems, you’ll contribute to the successful delivery of a major PMC construction project, working closely with senior engineers and project managers to ensure systems are delivered safely, to spec, and on time.

What you will do:

• Assist in the coordination and integration of M&E systems on-site, ensuring alignment with design intent and project requirements.
• Support the review of technical documentation, including MEP drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Help monitor the installation and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems (e.g., HVAC, electrical panels, chillers, pumps, etc.).
• Participate in site inspections, walkdowns, and daily progress checks, escalating issues where needed.
• Ensure compliance with site safety protocols, promoting a positive health and safety culture.
• Assist with reviewing and tracking RFIs, submittals, and technical queries from contractors and vendors.
• Collaborate with other disciplines (CSA, controls, commissioning) to support system handovers and readiness.
• Help compile handover documentation and support the transition from construction into operations.

What we’re looking for:

• A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering, or relevant equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years’ experience in an engineering role on large, complex construction projects.
• Practical experience working with M&E systems — ideally in sectors like data centres, life sciences, or industrial facilities.
• A basic understanding of construction methodologies and commissioning processes.
• A strong appreciation for health and safety standards in a live construction environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A proactive, detail-oriented approach and a willingness to learn.
• Familiarity with tools such as AutoCAD, Navisworks, or BIM software is a plus.
