We are actively recruiting a team of professional, driven experts to join Linesight and help us deliver outstanding projects for our clients. Frankfurt has established itself as one of the biggest data centre hubs in Europe, offering excellent connectivity for hyperscale and colocation data centre providers, and is continuing to attract major global investment.

 

As a Project Manage- Site Selection at Linesight, you will work with highly experienced, culturally diverse, and talented teams nurturing a strong social dynamic and a shared sense of achievement. The Opportunity

In this role you will: 

  • Support Project Teams: Work closely with teams looking for new land acquisitions by managing relationships with key stakeholders, including developers, landowners, and utility companies, ensuring alignment with project objectives.

  • Coordinate Meetings and Logistics: Manage the logistics for meetings, coordinate calendars, and ensure that all project-related meetings with internal and external parties run smoothly. You will also handle follow-ups on key issues to keep the project on track.

  • Facilitate Project Documentation: Create and manage essential project documentation, including agendas, action item logs, and decision logs, to facilitate effective project meetings and communication.

  • Coordinate Site Selection Activities: Track and maintain databases of site submissions, coordinate team work plans, and ensure compliance with execution plans. This includes liaising with external partners such as legal, engineering, and consulting teams to coordinate reviews and feedback.

  • Manage Data Accuracy: Own the client database of property information, ensuring data accuracy, and tracking property details. You will report on progress, resolve data discrepancies, and escalate issues where necessary.

  • Develop Deliverables: Draft key deliverables for senior management review, including purchase orders and statements of work (SOWs). Collaborate with internal stakeholders to incorporate feedback and finalise documents for decision-making.

  • Support Strategic Negotiations: Provide project management support for strategic negotiations post-land acquisition, working to secure site service infrastructure necessary for data centre development.

  • Coordinate Permitting and Utilities: Oversee the technical and commercial due diligence process, liaising with architecture, planning, and engineering teams, as well as negotiating contracts with consulting firms and public utility providers. You will also monitor the deployment of main utilities and coordinate with internal teams on project infrastructure programs.

  • Administer Documentation Control: Manage project documentation and control systems, including processes for document receipt, review, approval, distribution, and retention. Ensure data integrity across multiple systems and suggest process improvements where applicable.

 

We would love to hear from you if you:  

  • Have Proven Experience: You bring a solid background in project management, especially within site selection, portfolio management, or land acquisition projects, preferably in the data centre or infrastructure sectors.

  • Are a Strong Communicator: You possess excellent communication skills in English and German, both written and verbal. And have the ability to manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including developers, utility companies, and government officials.

  • Have Exceptional Organisational Skills: You are detail-oriented with strong organisational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities, coordinating complex logistics, and maintaining accurate project documentation.
  • Are Proficient in Project Tools: You have experience with project management tools and systems, and you can create and update project trackers, site workbooks, risk registers, and GANTT charts to keep projects on track.

  • Can Drive Projects Forward: You are proactive in driving project activities, resolving issues, and ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.

  • Understand Utility and Infrastructure Requirements: You have a deep understanding of utility and infrastructure requirements for large-scale projects, with experience in coordinating permitting processes and utility deployments.

  • Are Adaptable and Collaborative: You can adapt to changing project needs and work effectively with cross-functional teams, both internal and external, to achieve project goals.
