As an experienced IT System Administrator, you will report into the Europe IT Lead and provide predominantly third level support in the Europe region, and occasionally, across the globe. Your initiative, and ability to manage and effectively prioritise simultaneous asks will be crucial. You will play a crucial part in influencing the day-to-day operations of the IT Department, while also take ownership of large-scale, strategic projects across the department. This is the ideal role for a dynamic candidate that excels at the effective prioritisation and management of simultaneous asks, and can work off their own initiative while still being an active contributor to our close-knit team.

The Opportunity

In this role you will: 

  • Share best practices with team members to enhance the quality and efficiency of support services.
  • Coach other team members to solve complex technical issues.
  • Deliver services in line with Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
  • Manage issues or outages to resolution, communicating with both delivery and customer teams.
  • Update Incident, Request, Problem, and Change tickets in the ticketing system.
  • Maintain relevant Asset and Configuration Item records in the system.
  • Analyse, plan, and deliver infrastructure changes.
  • Proactively manage tasks such as patching and monitoring.
  • Maintain configuration and process documentation.
  • Handle issues and challenges that have been escalated from Level 2 support.
  • Contribute to IT and business projects, such as managing the SharePoint Document Management System and configuring endpoint security.
  • Assisting the broader business with ad-hoc requests related to data security and ICT policies.

 

We would love to hear from you if you have: 

 

  • 3-5 years’ experience in IT systems administration
  • Experience with DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and configuration management advantageous
  • BSc or certification in a relevant discipline, or necessary industry certifications and experience.
  • Understanding and/or certification in ITIL methodology
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Desktop OS, and knowledge of iOS and Android OS.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Azure / Office365 and PowerShell Scripting
  • Automation of tasks, develop & maintain PowerShell scripts to boost efficiency.
  • Strong knowledge of group policy concepts and methods
  • Broad knowledge of applications in the Microsoft ecosystem: eg: Intune, Purview, Defender and server patching.
  • Familiarity/Working knowledge of networking/network features and technologies including Enterprise firewalls, TCP/IP protocols. Experience with Unifi will be a distinct advantage.
  • Administer and manage Splunk, ensuring proper integrations and user management
  • Experience with VMWARE and vSphere operations.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills and a commitment to delivering excellent service to our colleagues, through consistent process improvements.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • An eagerness to learn new technologies and stay up-to-date with cutting-edge industry trends.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational, time management and prioritisation capabilities.
  • A passion for fostering authentic, strong relationships within the team and our end users, characterized by a shared purpose, pursuit of operational excellence, and a genuine sense of fun.
